Right now I have version 1.28.3 (https://download.delta.chat/android/deltachat-gplay-release-1.28.3.apk) and tonight's nightly to test
Now I see your answer in the right thread 🤨 It's a bug they have already fixed, but towards the end of March beginning of April 1.30.x should come out with the bugs fixed, it will take a week or two of further testing and then it will be published on the stores
And yes
Not sure if this is just an issue on my end but is Gh0stz0x just talking to himself for anyone else?

I am replying to two users, but using Delta Chat, I have yet to figure out where the messages are going. Now I see your message within the "group" with subject ML. Not knowing if the two users who wrote to me wrote to me "privately", I preferred to write in the ML thread. Sorry for the confusion, I also need to understand how mls work in DC 😅

Yeah, that's possible. especially since it seems that mailing list replies go straight to the poster instead of to the mailing list.

That was the doubt I had.
Using ML with DC (Delta Chat) is very convenient and fast. And I think that using DC bots can enhance ML. For example, if one is talking about weather conditions in a thread, one can use the bot by sending the command to know the situation at a certain place in the world. The only disadvantage for now is that you can't use e2e encryption in ml, or at least force it. 🤔

Lol I'm sorry but "fast" doesn't seem very reasonable for any IM based on email. Also seems to me like it's not very secure or private to do IM over email, considering that email is probably one of the most surveilled communications systems on the planet beyond maybe SMS.

It depends on the providers. Honestly with the providers I use, it's as fast as whatsapp or signal

Then as I said, it is encrypted e2e so they can check what they want, they can't read anything!

ah yes, the dilemma with a trusted or semi-trusted system. what happens when that trust is lost? this is why trustless systems should be preferred. you'll notice while the benevolence of your trusted provider pleases you now, this may or may not remain to be true in the future!
also, remeber that while one (mail) provider may respect your privacy, another may not. so any emails you send to not-so-much privacy respecting providers are compromised.
they say: "if you have nothing to hide, then what's the problem?!"
which to that note, someone clever responds: "that's like saying who cares about the right to freedom of speech if you've got nothing to say!?"
\end incoherent ramble

admittedly, i was also quite confused by the one-sided conversation as was another user, slips. my first impression was that this was spam as well. though, i will give the useer the benefit of the doubt, as there isn't usually too much traffic on this mailing list.

In what way? I did not understand 🤔

Indeed! this is why I prefer to use e2e encryption and possibly prefer to meet the person and scan their QRCode for verification of their address (and key exchange)

Sorry. So can you explain to me what can be talked about in this ML? Delta Chat is a Free Software project. Don't you like it? Let's talk about something else! 🤷♂️
